Arizona Cactus.net starts with the basics of Arizona cactus.
Know the Big Names
Saguaro, organ pipe, barrel, cholla, prickly pear and hedgehog are the cactus most people see first.
Catch the Bloom
Spring brings most cactus flowers.
Saguaros bloom in late spring, opening at night.
Watch Your Step
Cholla segments break off and stick at the lightest touch.
Carry a comb and tweezers on desert walks.
Leave Them Growing
